I made this pincushion nest yesterday.  It was originally a felt egg whose shape went terribly awry.

Nests, but at what price?

It was a beautiful, sunny day–we had a feast among good friends–children ran around playing (there’s actually a kid’s table now)–my heart is warm.

Mogs and I made these beads which we’ll paint in a couple days.  We are hoping to make them into bracelets for holiday gifts. 
The recipe is:
6 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 Cornstarch
1/4 Salt
1/4 Water
Mix it, form it, poke it and let it dry.
