What a great day I’ve had. First of all it snowed. It never snows on Christmas in the northwest and it finally did today. It was more of a symbolic snow in that it didn’t stay for long, but it was white and fell from the sky on Christmas—so great. Also, I received not one but two subscriptions to FiberArts Magazine. My family knows me so well! It was the first year Mogs really got into Christmas and presents. She loved her dollhouse–endless enjoyment for her and maybe, just maybe, a little break for mom now and again while she plays. I really enjoyed the Buy Handmade project (aside from the dollhouse) I think I did quite well. I’ll do a show and tell tomorrow.
I also found out that I am now part of the EtsyFAST team (fiber art street team). It is a way for me to connect with other fiber artist for networking and sharing. I am excited to have an avenue to pursue within Etsy with like-crafting souls–it can be an overwhelming experience as a new seller.
I am also nearing my 1000th hit since starting this blog two months ago. I have enjoyed the personal challenge of creating topics to write about and increased confidence in my writing skills. I hope to use this blog as a forum for more in-depth art criticism, book reviews and discussion of the creative process in the future. I would love to get comments and feedback from my readers and fellow craft-persons.
What an exciting year 2008 will be–all the best to all of you.
Carrie
