loved participating in the Buy Handmade challenge. I wanted to share my favorite handmade gifts that I gave and received this Christmas season:
This scarf for my mom is made from silk and linen which I hand embroidered. If I had more time I would of loaded it up with feathers, but I think it turned out well. I liked picking out the fabric and imagining her wearing it in chilly Colorado.
These are my hand-felted soaps. I used Sappo Hill soap and Peace Fleece roving (I have a couple for sale over at my Etsy shop, too) They were quick and fun to make. A good project for building up a gift giving stash since you can make a bunch at once.
I also bought Tony this print and put it in a bright lollipop print frame from my friend Grace.
My sister-in-law (Six Little Hands) made these fun pot holders and this sweet tin with handmade beads and hair combs inside. She always comes up with the best projects!
