It has taken many tries, but I am finally happy with my Etsy banner. I am picky I guess. I found that I could edit and fool around with my photos through Flickr and add text–much better than my Kodak software. Yeah Flickr!

Great banner Carrie! CONGRATULATIONS!
I also wanted to thank you so much for mentioning “Girlhood Embroidery” by Betty Ring in my blog! I immediately found it online and it is a real treasure! It is expensive because there aren’t many copies available out there but I purchased them for the best price that I found. Now I am sooo excited, I can’t wait to see them in person. I got the 2 volumes.
Thank you sooo much for letting me know about these books!!!!
Elsita
The banner looks fantastic!
Thanks Elsita and Laura!
I’m glad you like the book Elsita. It is heavy on the history and really fascinating stitching. I am so impressed by what the girls can create!
I need a tutorial on how to do this. I got all lost at Flickr and couldn’t find the right track. Can you help/???please??
When you click on one of your photos in Flickr, you will come to a larger version with a toobar right above it. One of the icons says “edit.” Click on that and it will take you through a free program called Picnik. Once your photo is uploaded to that you can edit and “create.” “Create” is where the fun and mostly free editing tool are. I really don’t no computer lingo–much better at pointing and saying “hey, click that.” Hope this helps!
Thanks Carrie,
I will go give it a try.
I got my little rabbit card in the mail. I love it and so does Zep. He wants it by his bed so he can stare at it when he wakes up. (his words)
I’m glad you guys like it! Did he name the rabbit?
