After a winter of grey rain and a limited linen palette for my crafts, I am totally craving color. We are having a sunny weekend, to which we are so thankful for. We took Mogs to a neighborhood park and she went a little nuts. She was throwing herself down the slide as fast as she could and racing to the top over and over. I am really excited for the coming park days as spring arrives. Going to one of our parks is such an easy and free activity, that it has been quite shocking to be stuck indoors for months on end. My yard has begun calling to me, even in my dreams. Last night, I dreamt that I was planting lettuce seeds in a raised bed. While it is still a bit too early for lettuce, I was able to prune the roses bushes and raspberry canes up front. So satisfying to clear away the decay and discover green buds forming.
I also stopped into Joann’s today for a small bit of fabric to use as binding for my nearly complete ”The Flood” quilt. I was also drawn to these bright cotton prints–bright pink?!?…I must be really Vit D starved. I think I’ll make them into a small throw type quilt for Mogs. I want to keep practicing my quilting skills from the Sew, Mama, Sew tutorials. The cool blue cup was a gift from Tony for Valentine’s Day. It is from a German gift store in town that sells the coolest kitchen ware from the Asa Selection. We are really digging these cups, perfect for coffee and nice to hold even without a handle.

beautiful colors!
Howdy….
