Using up scrap fabric this week….
This quilt block is for Sew, Mama, Sew’s quilting month. The pattern is called Squares in Squares and is based on a log cabin pattern. I like that the corners meet naturally, so there isn’t any precise matching up to be done in the sewing.

Two little bags. Trying to learn how to sew a bit more accurately, by creating my own pattern. The mah jong tiles are from a bracelet that a little two year old I know pulled apart. I put the peapod purse in my Etsy shop.

The final 8 postcards for the fabric postcard exchange. Making the 23 cards became quite a burden and I am glad to be done with my part. (I actually started thinking of it as a monkey on my back–why that phrase, I don’t know.) I am not too happy with what I sent. I figured out early on that I didn’t have the mental energy to come up with anything too exciting. I am starting to receive some from the other participants, which makes picking up the mail a bit more exciting. I do like the white card I made, mostly because of the wool pod shape. It makes me want to sew a whole quilt of them, pod upon pod, with delicate white stitching over the top.

the last photo of the creamy white postcard is just so soothing. so pretty. i am glad i found your pretty hand quilting
