I caught a cold (could it be from the airplane or the overcrowded Denver Children’s Museum? hmm…), which leaves me in a funk. Said funk is really only good for finishing up more loose ends, so sitting on the couch under a blanket I was finally able to finish the binding on this peapod quilt. I used freezer paper for the applique process and will do a tutorial soon. Freezer paper really helps the applique lay flat. I did the quilting with my free-motion embroidery foot on my machine–I always liked the loop-d-loops that I saw in quilts by other folks, esp. Glitter Goods pillows. Still getting the hang of it.

This is a beautiful quilt! I love the pea-theme!
I love how the peas stick out. The fabrics really bring the whole pea-theme together
Thanks Jen and Betty!
