My childhood friend, Anna, wrote a sweet post about my blog on her new blog called The Full Catastrophe for Blog Reader Appreciation Day. One aspect of blogging I treasure is the way it forges new friendships with people from far away places, while helping old friends from far away places stay in touch. The act of blogging has encouraged me to share more of myself than I would in a face to face conversation. I am thrilled that more and more people I know are starting to write their own blogs and that I am developing new relationships with amazingly, talented women from all over. Thanks for reading and commenting everyone! (Oh, I want to write so much more, but this squirmy toddler on my lap thinks otherwise! Oh well, another day, another post.)
I do want to highlight two blogs written by my most frequent commenters. Amber and Jackie write amazing blogs that are creative, positive and full of heart. Thanks for letting us in on your lives!

Great picture of you and your friend Anna!! Looks like the 80’s to me. At least you two look as cute as can be. I was in college in the 80’s. Wow, I’m old! It’s funny with blog reading - even though we’re all different ages - it feels like we’re all the same age. Ridiculous I know, but I guess you’re only as old as you feel. You are so sweet to highlight my blog. I too am treasuring the new friendships I’m making, and count you as one!
Thanks for the mention, Carrie. It is indeed truly special to keep up with one another this way. It reminds me a bit of how we used to do such a good job in writing letters back & forth.

Thank you for your compliment here! I haven’t been out visiting blogland much these last few days and I guess I missed this.
Congratulations on your progress in blogging! Isn’t it funny what brings visitors to blogs—I often wonder how disappointed visitors are when they google some topic that isn’t related to my blog but land there anyway!
