For the upcoming fall ArtsWalk, I’ve decided to do a series of paintings/illustrations for children that I’ll display at our super fun locally owned toy store. I wanted to do a series of smallish paintings that wouldn’t be too costly to frame or sell. This is the first of a series of four involving Mogs, Asa and a pumpkin seed. I think Mogs looks a little like Sal, as in Blueberries for Sal, which I adore. The staff at Wind Up Here have been really generous in hosting me, offering me the space to display as much as I can come up with. Besides showing my paintings, I think I am most excited to play with the toys for the 5+ hours I’ll have to stand around that evening. (I bet Mogs will like that aspect of the evening, too.)
